Circle Health Group is seeking an Instrument Coordinator at The Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, and permanent, with a salary of £24,947 per year.

The Instrument Coordinator will oversee preparation and availability of surgical instrumentation, liaising with decontamination services and external hospitals as required. Qualifications

• Experience in a theatre environment or clinical support role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic understanding of infection control and decontamination processes.
• Good communication and teamwork with a professional and reliable approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and availability of surgical instrumentation, liaising with internal decontamination services and external hospitals where required.
• Ensure all instruments are clean, functional, and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner to meet daily theatre schedules.
• Assist in the ordering, rotation, and replenishment of theatre consumables, ensuring alignment with Circle Health Group’s preferred suppliers and procurement policies.
• Support the theatre team in delivering seamless surgical services, contributing to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Work closely with theatre practitioners, sterile services, procurement, and external providers to ensure clarity and continuity in equipment and stock availability.
• Ensure all instrumentation handling complies with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
