Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee Manor House Supported Living and related services for adults with learning disabilities. You will ensure safe, compliant delivery, staff supervision, and effective liaison with social work teams and health professionals.

Key duties include staff development, policy implementation, and recruitment in line with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• RQF (Formerly QCF) Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Full driving license.
• Managerial experience in a social care setting.
• Experience with regulatory and inspection frameworks (CQC, PAMMS).
• Experience with adults with disabilities.
• Experience with grievances, ill health, and disciplinary procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational management of services for adults with learning disabilities.
• Lead staff development, performance, and career plans.
• Ensure safe, compliant delivery meeting CQC requirements.
• Develop policies, procedures and operational systems.
• Recruitment and induction of staff in line with standards.
