Job summary

Stepping Stone Projects in Manchester is seeking a part-time Supported Housing Worker to assist adults with NRPF to gain stability. Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults, including homelessness and immigration-related challenges.
• Knowledge of NRPF and immigration processes.
• Ability to develop person-centred support plans and conduct needs and risk assessments.
• Strong partnership-working skills with statutory and voluntary agencies.
• Proficient IT skills for recording and reporting.

• Working alongside immigration advisers, local authorities, healthcare providers and other partner agencies to ensure customers can access the support and services they need.
• Supporting customers to identify and secure appropriate move-on accommodation, helping them prepare for and successfully transition into longer-term housing solutions.
• Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and positive community living while maintaining accurate records, managing housing-related responsibilities and helping customers achieve greater stability and independence.

As a Supported Housing Worker at Stepping Stone Projects, you will support adults with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) to achieve greater stability, independence and positive outcomes. Working with individuals who may be experiencing homelessness and immigration-related challenges, you will provide tailored, person-centred support to help them access appropriate services, navigate systems and work towards sustainable move-on options.

We're looking for a compassionate, motivated and resilient individual who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable adults. You'll be able to build positive relationships, communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a range of agencies, including housing, immigration and support services. You'll be confident supporting people in a professional, non-judgemental and empowering way.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to support adults with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) who are experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

This role combines housing management responsibilities with person-centred support, working with individuals who may face complex immigration, housing and financial challenges. You'll support customers to access specialist immigration advice and other essential services, develop independence and life skills, and work towards positive, sustainable move-on outcomes.

Our Manchester NRPF Service provides supported accommodation for up to 10 customers across 5 shared houses. Working alongside colleagues and partner agencies, you will empower customers to maintain their accommodation, navigate complex systems and access opportunities that help them achieve greater stability, independence and long-term housing solutions.

What you’ll be doing

About You

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience supporting vulnerable adults, particularly those facing homelessness and immigration-related challenges.
• Have knowledge of No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF), immigration processes, or experience of working alongside the Home Office and immigration support services.
• Can support customers to maintain their accommodation, develop independence and work towards positive move-on outcomes.
• Are confident carrying out needs and risk assessments and using these to develop effective person-centred support plans.
• Have excellent partnership-working skills and can build positive relationships with statutory, voluntary and community agencies to achieve the best outcomes for customers.
• Are confident using IT systems to maintain accurate records, while remaining organised and accountable.
