Job summary

Quo Vadis Trust in Lewisham, SE London, is seeking a Supported Housing Officer to help adults achieve stability and independence. You will manage your own caseload, build trusted relationships and support wellbeing, housing and daily living goals.

The role requires calm, practical problem solving, strong communication and resilience. You will work on a 35-hour full-time rota in a 24/7 service. An Enhanced DBS check is funded by QVT and visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide key-working support to an allocated caseload
  • Create support plans and SMART goals with clients
  • Complete inductions, risk assessments and accurate client records
  • Support clients with housing, welfare benefits and tenancy matters
  • Encourage independent living, housekeeping and everyday life skills
  • Carry out room, property and health and safety checks
  • Respond professionally to incidents, safeguarding concerns
  • Liaise with external agencies and other professionals
  • Travel between QVT services when required

The person You will need:

Strong communication and customer service skills Confidence working independently and as part of a team Empathy, patience and resilience Awareness of the challenges faced by people experiencing mental health difficulties Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and client databases The ability to remain professional under pressure Flexibility to work within a 24/7 rota when required Experience within supported housing, mental health, homelessness or similar services would be an advantage. An Enhanced DBS check is required and will be funded by QVT. Please note: This position does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
