Job summary

BDS Recruitment are recruiting for a Supported Housing Coordinator in South Manchester on a hybrid basis to support tenants with complex needs. You will coordinate multi-agency responses, develop care plans, and promote independence while maintaining detailed records.

The role requires safeguarding knowledge and strong interpersonal skills, with driving licence desirable. Salary indications provided as hourly rates (£20.21–£27.21) depending on PAYE/umbrella arrangements.

Job description

BDS Recruitment are working with a leading housing charity in South Manchester to recruit a Supported Housing Coordinator on an initial full time temporary ongoing basis.

This is a hybrid opportunity to cover a small patch. You will be the key contact for tenants and residents who require more intensive, person-centred support. From safeguarding and health challenges to financial difficulties or tenancy risks, you'll coordinate multi-agency responses and work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners to help people overcome barriers and build brighter futures.

Salary: From £20.21ph paye or up to £27.21ph via Umbrella

Key duties:

• Deliver high quality, trauma-informed support to individuals and families
• Address issues such as tenancy breakdown risk, domestic abuse, mental health, hoarding, social isolation and poverty
• Coordinate support and interventions across agencies including social care, health, housing and the voluntary sector
• Develop and manage individual support plans, prioritising resilience and independence
• Support and coach individuals through complex circumstances, including safeguarding concerns
• Maintain accurate records, report outcomes and contribute to service improvement

Criteria:

• Experience working with vulnerable people with complex needs
• Confident in safeguarding procedures, tenancy-related support, and collaborative casework
• Strong understanding of housing, health, domestic abuse, and welfare issues
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Experince working with tenancies
• Ability to manage a caseload and work both independently and in teams
• Comfortable using IT systems and maintaining detailed records
• A full UK driving licence is desirable
