We are looking for a caring, compassionate and confident Supported Accommodation Manager to help launch our new supported accommodation service in Newbridge, Caerphilly.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new Taff service from the beginning. You will lead a team supporting six care-experienced young people aged 16–18, helping them build the skills, confidence and stability they need to move on successfully into independent living. We believe good support is built through positive relationships. This means working alongside residents rather than doing things to them. You’ll help create a safe, supportive environment where residents feel listened to, respected and able to work towards achieving their goals.
No two days will be the same. You’ll be leading support that is shaped by real lives, experiences and progress, helping young people build trust, confidence and stability at their own pace. This is a meaningful challenge, and you’ll be supported to lead it well. At Taff, we work in a psychologically informed way and aim to build resilience in trauma-affected young people. This work can bring up many difficult emotions, both for them and for the colleagues who walk alongside them. Every member of the support team at Taff brings their own personality, experience and perspective. Together, this creates a workplace that’s supportive, inclusive and genuinely welcoming.
To help you lead the service well, you’ll receive clinical supervision, regular reflective practice and ongoing training and learning opportunities, because we want to support you to grow in your career as much as you support the young people on their journeys.
To be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our supported accommodation provision in Newbridge, Caerphilly for six care-experienced young people aged 16-18.Working alongside support officers, you’ll provide line management and leadership to the accommodation team, making sure young people living in the service receive psychologically and trauma-informed support that helps them move towards independent living.
