Job summary

The Mews SL is a 6-bed supported living service in Halstead, providing person-centred care for adults with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs. Staff support daily living skills, independence, and community activities to help individuals achieve personal goals.

As a Support Worker, you will empower adults to live life their way, assisting with daily activities, personal care, and health and wellbeing while following care plans for safe, consistent support.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
  • Caring, positive and reliable attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support independence and personal goals.
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Assist with daily life activities, e.g. cooking, shopping and social outings.
  • Provide personal care and support with health and wellbeing.
  • Follow clear processes and individual care plans to ensure safe and consistent support.

Job description

Location: Blamsters Farm, Halstead, CO9 1LR

Hours: Full-time 42 hours per week (Monday to Sunday, rota basis)

Pay: £12.71 – £13.21 per hour (depending on qualifications)

About the Service

The Mews SL is a 6-bed supported Living service supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health and physical needs . The service provides a safe, structured and person-centred environment where individuals are supported to build independence, develop daily living skills, and achieve their personal goals.

People we support enjoy a range of activities within the service and in the community, including going to the cinema, day centres and visiting new places.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll empower adults with learning disabilities, autism, learning disabilities, mental health and physical needs to live life their way.

You’ll:

  • Support independence and personal goals
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care
  • Assist with daily life activities, for example cooking, shopping and social outings
  • Provide personal care and support with health and wellbeing
  • Follow clear processes and individual care plans to ensure we provide safe and consistent support

Pay Structure
  • Entry Level – £12.71 per hour
  • NVQ Level 2 completed – £12.96 per hour
  • NVQ Level 3 completed – £13.21 per hour
