Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker at The Whitehouse in Bridgend. You will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people we support, promoting independence and helping them live a fulfilling life while assisting with health care, personal care, budgeting and domestic tasks.

Full training, coaching and development are provided, with opportunities for QCF qualifications and career progression.

• Experience in the care sector is not required; we offer full training, coaching and development.

• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.

About The Whitehouse:

At The Whitehouse, we support up to 7 adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

We focus on empowering the people we support to develop their skills and to progress along their recovery pathway.

The service recognises that each person is has different aims and objective in which they want to achieve, this may range from achieving daily living skills to total independence. The home uses a wide range of tools to ensure successful outcomes

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
