Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Female Support Worker for Hugglescote in a 28-hour per week role at a small residential home for young adults with learning disabilities. Shift pattern includes 08:00-15:00, 15:00-22:00, 08:00-22:00 and 22:00-08:00 with sleep-ins from 22:00-08:00.

Must be over 18 and female due to genuine occupational requirement. You will support residents in daily activities, budgeting, health care needs, and personal care, while helping develop practical skills in a caring environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in health and social care settings is a plus.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and routine for residents.
  • Promote independence and life skills through activities and hobbies.
  • Assist with health care needs and accompanying to appointments.

HOURS:28 hours per week

SHIFTS:08:00-15:00 / 15:00-22:00 / 08:00-22:00 / 22:00 - 08:00. You will be required to complete sleep ins, which are from 10:00pm - 8:00am.

Please note we require a Female Support Worker due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

About Hugglescote:

Hugglescote are a small 3-bed residential home supporting young adults with a range of learning disabilities ranging from Autism, ADHD and challenging behavior on 2-1 or 1-1 basis.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
