Job summary

Community Integrated Care is seeking a Part Time Support Worker to assist adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities in Forest Hall, NE12. The role involves day shifts with occasional night cover, and requires experience with schizophrenia, autism, self-harm, depression and anxiety.

We offer a supportive environment and opportunities for development. The successful candidate will work 26 hours per week in a dedicated service, with DBS paid for and access to flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Help with engagement with drug and alcohol services, community psychiatrist nurses, The Community Treatment Team, doctors and social services.
• Managing personal finances and attaining skills.
• Deal with managing tenancy issues, paying rent and safeguarding housing rights.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with friends, family, neighbours, and the local community to reduce social isolation.
• Plan, shop for, prepare and cook meals, promoting a varied, balanced diet.
