Job summary

Cygnet Group is hiring a Support Worker at Oakhurst Lodge to assist adults with autism and learning disabilities. You will support daily routines, promote independence, and help residents engage in meaningful activities within the home and community.

The role offers 12-hour day shifts across a 7-day rota on a 42-hour permanent contract, with full training provided. A compassionate, proactive attitude and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities or working within a care setting.
• Understanding of behaviours that may challenge, with a positive, proactive approach to support.
• Caring, compassionate and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to help others succeed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Team-focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively in a supportive environment.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for supporting a variety of community activities, social events, and meaningful experiences.
• Commitment to promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing for the people we support.
