Job summary

Oakhurst Lodge, part of Cygnet Group, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with autism and learning disabilities. This 42-hour permanent role involves 12-hour day shifts on a 7-day rota, with around two weekends per month, and full training.

You will help residents with daily routines, encourage independence, and support meaningful community activities while working in a compassionate, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities or in a care setting.
• Understanding of behaviours that may challenge with a positive approach.
• Caring, compassionate and enthusiastic attitude to help others succeed.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with residents, families and colleagues.
• Team-focused, collaborative and flexible for varied community activities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines and promote independence for residents.
• Accompany individuals on activities and outings in the community.
