Job summary

Keys Group is looking for a Female Support Worker for a small 3-bed residential home in Hugglescote (LE67). The role involves day-to-day support, promoting independence and helping residents with personal care, health needs, and daily tasks within a caring team.

The position offers 28 hours per week with varied shifts, including sleep-ins. We provide DBS paid by the employer, continuous training, and generous leave and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and routine for residents.
• Promote independence and help them lead a fulfilling life.
• Support personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Assist with health care needs and attend routine appointments, medications.
• Teach life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and domestic tasks including cooking and cleaning.
• Provide guidance and emotional support.
• 5.6 weeks annual leave incl. 8 public holidays.

Job description

HOURS:28 hours per week

SHIFTS:08:00-15:00 / 15:00-22:00 / 08:00-22:00 / 22:00 - 08:00. You will be required to complete sleep ins, which are from 10:00pm - 8:00am.

Please note we require a Female Support Worker due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

Hugglescote are a small 3-bed residential home supporting young adults with a range of learning disabilities ranging from Autism, ADHD and challenging behavior on 2-1 or 1-1 basis.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
