We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Housing Support Worker to join our team within the Esgyn Service in the Vale of Glamorgan. This service provides housing-related floating support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, developmental disorders, low-level mental health issues, or physical disabilities.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This role involves delivering a personalized, psychologically informed service tailored to our service users' needs. You will collaborate with relevant agencies and local networks to support individuals in developing independent living skills, maintaining tenancies, and reaching their potential.
Applicants should have experience supporting individuals with diverse needs, a good understanding of the changing needs of service users, and knowledge of the Housing Benefits system. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build supportive relationships are essential. A qualification in Social Care or a related discipline is desirable but not mandatory. A full, current driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
