About the Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated, small team providing 24-hour support in our client’s home. Your focus will be on delivering reliable, high-quality care tailored to the client’s individual needs.

Rotas
  • Role 1 – 31.5hrs per week
    • Week 1: Wednesday 08:30 – 19:00, Thursday 08:30 – 19:00, Friday 08:30 – 19:00
    • Week 2: Monday 08:30 – 19:00, Saturday 08:30 – 19:00, Sunday 08:30 – 19:00
  • Role 2 – 25¼hrs per week
    • Week 1: Wednesday 08:30 – 19:00, Saturday 08:30 – 19:00
    • Week 2: Tuesday 08:30 – 19:00, Wednesday 08:30 – 19:00, Thursday 08:30 – 19:00
  • Role 3 – 39hrs per week
    • Week 1: Tuesday 19:00 – 08:00, Wednesday 19:00 – 08:00, Thursday 19:00 – 08:00
    • Week 2: Friday 19:00 – 08:00, Saturday 19:00 – 08:00, Sunday 19:00 – 08:00
  • Role 4 - 37¾hrs per week
    • Week 1: Wednesday 20:00 – 08:30, Thursday 20:00 – 08:30, Friday 20:00 – 08:30
    • Week 2: Monday 19:00 – 08:00, Saturday 20:00 – 08:30, Sunday 20:00 – 08:30
Meet Our Client

Our client is a 26-year-old man with cerebral palsy who is full of resilience, positivity, and humour. He enjoys meeting friends, exploring art and engaging in social activities.

Your Responsibilities
  • Personal care & hygiene support
  • Moving & handling assistance
  • Medication administration & therapy support
  • Admin & record-keeping
  • Supporting social outings & activities
Training & Support

We provide comprehensive, paid training (to CQC standards) before your start date, covering:

  • Full Induction
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Health & Safety / First Aid / Food Hygiene
  • Personal Care / Bowel & Catheter Care
  • Pressure Area Care / Gastrostomy PEG Medication Administration
  • Learning Disabilities / Cerebral Palsy / MCA & DOLS

All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at £14.40 per hour

What We’re Looking For
  • Full, clean UK driving licence required
  • Minimum 6 months recent experience in a care setting
  • Willingness to accompany the client on social trips & holidays if needed
  • Good communication & writing skills
  • Comfortable working in a family home with cats
  • Non-smokers preferred (client’s preference)
  • Commitment to long-term, person-centred care
