Job summary

Thera Trust is seeking a compassionate and caring Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in a person-centred team. You will help individuals achieve personal goals, develop skills, and provide personal and emotional support either in their home or in the community.

No prior qualifications are required as full training is provided; strong communication and a proactive attitude are valued to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No previous experience or qualifications required, full training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are desired.
• Self-starter with a high level of motivation and a keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident, articulate, and professional in speech and writing.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism using a person-centred approach.
• Help individuals develop new skills and provide personal and emotional support.
• Assist with planning and managing their own home, and support leisure, interests and travel.
• Support may occur in the individual's home or out in the community.
