Job summary

Thera Trust are seeking enthusiastic support workers to join our inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will help create innovative ways to support individuals achieve their own personal goals, aims and ambitions.

The support you provide will change with everyone you work with because everyone is different. You may be supporting people in their own home or out and about in their community.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with lone working and supporting individuals with Mental Health Needs
• Compassionate, caring and confident
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with high motivation
• Excellent written and verbal communication, professional
• Keen to learn in a fast-paced environment and solve problems

Responsibilities

• Support adults with a learning disability in daily living and community activities
• Help people achieve personal goals and ambitions
• Provide personal and emotional support and assist with planning and managing their own home
• Support with leisure, employment, and individual interests
• Assist with travel and community activities; may work in home or in the community
