Job summary

Home Group is hiring to help customers live independently and stay connected, focusing on care, respect and practical support that improves lives across our local community. You will support customers with daily tasks, encourage independence, and work collaboratively to empower them while delivering dignity and a safe environment in their homes.

Based in the Maryport area, the role is part-time (22.5 hours across three fixed days, 9:00am–5:00pm).

Qualifications

• Experience caring for others, professionally or personally.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and stay calm under pressure.
• Recognise that every customer is different and adopt a flexible, personal approach.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with daily tasks.
• Encourage independence and celebrate wins.
• Create a safe, positive space where dignity and respect come first.
• Work collaboratively to empower our customers.
• Focus on developing independent living skills and tenancy sustainment for customers with low-level mental health support needs.
