Job summary

Home Group is seeking a Female Support Worker to empower clients in independent living and housing support. This Level 2 role focuses on person-centred support, helping service users with daily tasks and developing life skills.

You will work on a temporary part-time basis, with flexible shifts and a 24-hour rota, within a multi-disciplinary team to promote safety, dignity, and progress toward independence.

Qualifications

• Female candidate
• Previous experience providing support to vulnerable individuals
• Knowledge of housing issues and residential housing management desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to remain calm and professional
• Proven ability to motivate others and cope with challenging behaviour
• Basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills for admin recording
• Flexible part-time hours including 24-hour rota and lone working
• Commitment to equality, diversity and integrity

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible, person-centred support in line with individual support and safety plans
• Assist with daily living tasks, including meal planning and healthy eating guidance
• Help clients develop life skills such as budgeting, welfare benefits, education and employment
• Manage housing duties including tenancy sign-ups, rent collection, inspections, and anti-social behaviour
• Identify risk, implement safeguarding procedures and liaise with external agencies
• Maintain records and support planning reviews with the coordinator
• Administer medication per policies and procedures
• Engage in community activities to build social networks
