Job summary

Komplex Community is recruiting a dedicated Support Worker in Wolverhampton to help adults with autism and learning disabilities live independently in their own homes. You will assist with daily tasks, support life skills, and provide compassionate, person-centred care in a busy, supportive team.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, a year of care experience where possible, and a caring, reliable attitude.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Minimum of one year’s experience in care or support (desirable).
• Confidence working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge.
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.
• Team-first attitude and commitment to delivering person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with essential daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning, and budgeting.
• Encourage independence and build confidence through meaningful activities and community access.
• Be a calm, reliable presence during difficult times, offering emotional reassurance and structure.
• Promote routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected, and included.
• Monitor and record progress, recognise and celebrate small wins every day.
• Work regular 12-hour shifts — including waking nights — to provide consistent and high-quality care.
