Job summary

Bield Housing & Care is seeking part-time Support Workers in Dundee to provide compassionate in-home support to service users. You will assist with daily tasks, promote independence, and help create a warm, supportive environment.

The role offers comprehensive training, PVG costs covered, and opportunities to obtain SSSC registration within 6 months. Experience is helpful but not essential, and we encourage applicants who share our values and commitment to care.

Qualifications

• SVQ2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to undertake this qualification.
• Registration with the SSSC within 6 months of taking up the post.
• Ability to work on a lone basis and provide home care with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks and daily activities for service users.
• Provide personal care, including intimate tasks, with respect and dignity.
• Medication prompting/administering as required and per care plan.

The Role

In your role as Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals in their own homes including:

• Assisting with household tasks
• Assisting and supporting with personal care, including intimate personal care
• Medication prompting/administering

About You

You will:

• Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis
• Have good time keeping, time management and organisational skills
• Hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or have the ability and willingness to undertake this qualification
• Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
