Job summary

Bield Housing & Care in Glasgow is seeking a Part-Time Support Worker to join our compassionate team. You will assist service users in their own homes, promoting independence and dignity, with a focus on personal care, household tasks, and medication prompting.

This 20-hour weekly role covers four days per week with comprehensive induction, PVG fees covered, SSSC registration support, pension, and access to employee assistance.

Hours of employment

20 hours - 4 days out of 7

The Role

In your role as Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals in their own homes including:

  • Assisting with household tasks
  • Assisting and supporting with personal care, including intimate personal care
  • Medication prompting/administering

About You

You will:

  • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis
  • Have good time keeping, time management and organisational skills
  • Hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or have the ability and willingness to undertake this qualification
  • Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
