Job summary

Cygnet is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker for Norcott House in Liversedge. You will deliver high-quality care on a full-time 42-hour weekly schedule with 12-hour shifts, including alternate weekends, on-site in West Yorkshire.

A DBS check is required; opportunities for learning and development are highlighted. Salary starts at £13.15 per hour, increasing after probation, with enhanced benefits and wellbeing support.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs.

• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
• Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays.
• Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning.

We are looking for a confidentCare & Support Workerwith a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare.

You’ll be working full time42hours a week,12hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), days only,making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Norcott House.

Located in the suburbs of Liversedge in West Yorkshire, Norcott House is a specialist residential service providing outcome focused care for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge.

Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do and we are able to meet the changing needs of the people we support as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported.
