Job summary

Cygnet Group in Outwood, near Leeds, is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker to deliver outstanding healthcare across a 42-hour week, with 12-hour shifts and alternate weekends. You will help people in our care live more independent, meaningful lives in a person-centred setting.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs.
• Safeguard and maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
• Support service users to access the community, attend work, college, hobbies, days out and holidays.
• Engage service users in activities such as cooking and cleaning to aid growth and development.

You'll be working full time42hours a week,12hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), days only,making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Outwood.

Located in Horsforth, a charming village in the suburbs of Leeds, Outwood is a specialist residential service for adults. We provide outcome focused care for individuals with learning disabilities and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge.

We encourage and enable the individuals we support to lead a full and happy life. We work with them to ensure they have more choice and control in their lives. We find out their strengths, abilities and preferences so that the care provided can be as person-centred and meaningful to each individual as possible.
