Job summary

CYGNET is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker to deliver outstanding healthcare across a 42-hour week, with 12-hour shifts and a two-week rotating weekend pattern at Norcott House in West Yorkshire. The role focuses on person-centered planning, safety and independence, with opportunities for learning and progression through our apprenticeship scheme.

You will be an excellent communicator, work well in a team, and empower service users to grow and participate in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in care and support settings is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate clearly with service users, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs.
• Safeguard service users and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for all.
• Support service users to access the community and attend activities, work, college or days out.
• Involve users in tasks like cooking and cleaning to promote growth and independence.
