Job summary

Cygnethas, a national network of specialist mental health services, is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker for Oxley Woodhouse in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. You will provide person-centred care, support independence, and help service users access community activities.

The role includes days only, 42 hours per week with a two-week rolling rota, DBS checked required, and a chance to grow through apprenticeships and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs.
• Safeguard.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
• Support service users to access the community for work, college, hobbies and days out.
• Engage service users in tasks to grow, develop and learn (e.g., cooking, cleaning).

You’ll be working full time42hours a week,12hour shifts, including alternate weekends (4 shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), Days only,making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Oxley Woodhouse.

Oxley Woodhouse is a specialist residential service in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, supporting people with learning disabilities, complex needs, autism and behaviours that may challenge.
