Job summary

RTC Resources Ltd in Leicester is seeking an experienced Support Worker to provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with complex needs. You will work within an enhanced staffing team to support daily living, personal care and community activities, following individual care plans and safeguarding procedures.

This permanent position requires prior UK care experience with challenging behaviours, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours (36–48 per week).

Qualifications

• Previous UK care/support experience with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
• Experience of enhanced staffing arrangements or comparable intensive support services.
• Practical experience managing behavioural escalation and physical aggression.
• Effective communication, safeguarding knowledge and professional boundaries.
• PMVA or other recognised physical intervention training desirable.

Support Worker - Complex Needs | Leicester

£14.50 per hour | Permanent | 36-48 hours per week

RTC Resources is recruiting experienced Support Workers for permanent opportunities with a specialist care provider in Leicester.

This role is suited to someone with experience delivering structured support to individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge. You will work within an enhanced staffing team, which may include 3:1, 4:1 or 5:1 support.

The role involves

• Providing compassionate support that promotes dignity, choice and independence.
• Working to individual care plans, risk assessments and behavioural support strategies.
• Recognising early warning signs and using de‑
• Supporting personal care, medication, meals, daily routines and community activities as required.
• Keeping accurate records and promptly escalating safeguarding concerns.
• Collaborating with colleagues, families and other professionals.
• Following least restrictive practice and participating in physical intervention only when authorised and within current training and competency.

Essential experience and skills

• Previous UK care/support experience with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
• Experience of enhanced staffing arrangements or comparable intensive support services.
• Practical experience managing behavioural escalation and physical aggression.

DMI/Dynamis training is highly desirable. Candidates with current or recent PMVA or other recognised physical intervention training may be considered, subject to review and any required training or assessment.
