Job summary

The Royal Mencap Society is seeking Support Workers in Chilwell and surrounding areas. You will work across flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings and sleep-ins, to support people with learning disabilities and help with daily activities.

If you have a genuine passion for helping others and strong communication, you could join a team that values inclusion, DBS checks, and a proactive, empathetic approach. Driver preferred but not essential; extensive benefits package available.

Job description

Calling all Support Workers within the surrounding areas of Chilwell.

As a Support Worker flexibility is key as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts. You should have the ability to work flexibly across weekdays, weekends and bank holidays and shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and sleep ins. Your flexibility is therefore essential for us to be able to meet the needs of the people we support.

A driver is preferred for this role but not essential.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• V arious shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract options

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

• All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
