Job summary

Mencap is looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our fantastic team in Dunstable. You’ll help people with learning disabilities with daily activities, provide emotional support and companionship, and work within an inclusive team to improve lives.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with day shifts (07:00–22:00) and sleep-ins (22:00–07:00). Sleep-ins are paid at £64.20 per sleep-in, and we offer inclusion-friendly benefits and discounts.

Job description

Mencap is looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our fantastic team in Dunstable.

As a Support Worker, you’ll have the chance to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities. You’ll work with a diverse group of individuals, each with their own unique strengths, personalities, and support needs.

From supporting with everyday activities to offering emotional encouragement and companionship, your role will be varied, rewarding, and truly meaningful.

Contract option

Full-time: 37.5 hours per week

Shift patterns

Our services provide 24-hour care, and rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance, giving you the flexibility to plan your personal and social life.

• Day shifts: Between 07:00 – 22:00
• Sleep-ins: 22:00 – 07:00

Sleep-in payment: Enhanced flat-rate payment of £64.20 per sleep-in
