Location: Tamworth

Salary: £13.51 per hour

Hours: Part time (21 hours per week)

Contract: Permanent following successful completion of an initial trial period

About the Role

Standon Gardens Extra Care is looking for caring, reliable and hardworking individuals to join our dedicated Support Worker / Carer team.

In this rewarding role, you will primarily support people who live in their own apartments on site, providing personalised care and assistance while promoting independence, dignity and choice.

  • Flexible - willing to work a fair share of mornings, afternoons, weekends and bank holidays, as well as occasionally picking up additional hours when required.
  • Resilient - understanding that care work can be incredibly rewarding but can also be challenging at times.
  • A good communicator - confident communicating with the people we support, their families and colleagues, with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced in care - previous experience in a caring role is preferred, although full training and support will be provided.
Your Responsibilities
  • Providing compassionate care and support, ensuring the comfort, dignity and safety of the people we support.
  • Assisting with day-to-day living, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, cleaning and other household tasks.
  • Supporting with medication, in accordance with individual care plans, training and company procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate care records, care plans and documentation, while following health and safety requirements.
  • Building positive relationships with the people we support, their families and other professionals involved in their care.
