Job summary

Shaw healthcare (Group) Ltd in Shoreham-by-Sea is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join New Elmcroft, a 60-bed care home. You will provide person-centred care, support with daily living tasks, and help maintain a calm, respectful environment for residents.

No previous experience is required, as full training and ongoing development opportunities are offered. A caring attitude and strong values are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred care in line with an individual’s care plan.
• Offering personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing and hygiene.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluid/food intake, activities and incidents.
• Promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team and supporting colleagues.
• Maintaining a safe, happy, and caring environment.

Job description

Location: New Elmcroft, St Giles Cl, Shoreham-by-Sea BN43 6AT

Salary: £13.80 per hour

Contract: Full time day and night contracts available (36hrs and 48hrs)

Shift Times: Flexible on 4 week Rota, either 12hr day shifts (07:45-20:15) or 12hr night shifts (20:00-08:00) - requirement to work alternative weekends

The facility specialises in nursing, dementia, residential, and respite care, providing a safe and supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a Support Worker you will be responsible for promoting physical and emotional support to our lovely service users. The will include, but not limited to:

• Providing person-centred care in line with an individual’s care plan
• Offering personal care, which includes assistance with bathing, dressing and hygiene
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluid/food intake, activities and incidents
