Job summary

Potens in Preston is recruiting a dedicated Support Worker to join our service. The role involves 1-1 support for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs, helping them access the community and maintain independence.

The position is on-site, 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of £13 per hour and a focus on person-centered care. We require at least 2 years’ experience in mental health, a positive attitude under pressure, and (where possible) a manual driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years in mental health sector.
• Must be able to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to promote independence and community access.
• Positive attitude under pressure.
• Willingness to be flexible in tasks and activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 support to adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
• Promote independence and help clients access the community.
• Maintain a high level of support as required by the service.
• Engage with individuals about their likes and wants.
• Support in a 3-floor, 10-en-suite house environment.
