Job summary

Potens is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Londonderry service. You will help adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs with daily living, personal care and community participation, in a role with varied shifts on a 4-week rota including sleep-ins.

The ideal candidate is independent, compassionate and flexible, with experience in learning disabilities or behavioural needs. A driver’s license is essential; full training and progression opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and age-related mobility needs.
• Assist residents with daily living, personal care and community participation.
• Maintain a high level of support required for the service.
• Shifts are variable on a 4-week rolling rota, Mon-Sun, including sleep-in duties.
• Engage residents in activities and community links to support independent living.
• Maintain and develop community links and access to community/leisure pursuits.
