Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is recruiting a Waking Night Support Worker for a SEN residential care setting in Preston. You will provide overnight care to children and young people aged 8 to 18, ensuring safety, comfort and a nurturing environment.

Role includes 40 hours across 4 x 10 hour shifts and additional night support options; day shifts are also available. A driving licence and safeguarding commitment are essential; NVQ in Health & Social Care is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Passion for supporting young people and their development.
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight care ensuring safety and well-being of children and young people.
• Support behavioural management and promote positive routines.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding practices.
• Build trusting relations and promote independence and life skills.
• Create a welcoming, structured environment for residents.
