Job description

The role of a Support Worker at Enable is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals with complex support needs, including Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health issues. The Support Worker will be responsible for encouraging independence, supporting daily living activities, and promoting the quality of life for the service users.

Main duties of the job

The Support Worker will be responsible for offering a range of services to the individuals they support, including encouraging active participation in the community, supporting daily living activities, effective communication, and promoting motivation to enhance their quality of life. They will also be required to provide positive behavioral support, keep accurate records, and work as part of a team.

We support up to 11 people living within this service, promoting independent living.

We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating- effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods

Engaging- promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording- keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
