Job summary

Westcroft is seeking a Female Support Worker in Tring, Hertfordshire, offering a salary of £26,853 per annum for 37.5 hours per week. Female Support Worker

Westcroft is a vibrant supported living service supporting adults with learning disabilities across three main buildings and community homes. Guided by our five corevalues, we work together to create an inclusive, respectful environment where people feel valued, supported and empowered to live as independently as possible.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Create and follow personalised support plans
• Promote daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and budgeting
• Support with medication and provide personal care with dignity
• Contribute to risk assessments and management plans
• Help residents achieve personal goals
• Induct and mentor new staff as needed

Shift patterns include:

The role operates on a rota basis, with shifts including early, late and sleep-in duties. Typical shift times are: 07:00 - 15:00, 07:30 - 15:30, 08:00 - 16:00, 12:30 - 20:30, 14:00 - 22:00, plus sleep-in shifts as required.

Please note: lone working is required, so confidence, responsibility and clear communication are essential.

About You

You are caring, reliable and proactive, with a genuine desire to support others and work in line with our values. You communicate well, adapt to individual needs and enjoy being part of a supportive team.

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required
• Holds a care certificate or willingness to undertake a care qualification
• At least one sleep-in per week (paid at a flat rate of £52.78)
• Weekend and bank holiday working required
