Job summary

Hightown Housing Association is seeking an Assistant Support Worker for a full-time role at Cressex Road, High Wycombe. The position offers a salary of £26,229 per annum and a 37.5 hour working week in a supported living setting.

You will provide personal care, assist with daily living tasks, and help residents participate in community activities while adhering to care plans and safeguarding guidelines.

Position: Assistant Support Worker
Location: Cressex Road, High Wycombe
Salary: £26,229 per annum
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Join our caring team at Cressex Road, a friendly supported living home for six adults aged 34-91. We work together to create an inclusive, respectful environment where each person feels supported, understood and empowered to live as independently as possible.

The Role

As an Assistant Support Worker, you will:

  • Support with personal care in a dignified, compassionate way
  • Assist with medication and daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and budgeting
  • Encourage individuals to take part in community activities and local outings
  • Follow tailored support plans and risk assessments
  • Build positive, trusting relationships and promote independence
Shifts
  • Early shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm
  • Late shifts: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Includes one sleep-in shift per week (paid at £52.78 per night)
  • Based on a two-week rolling rota
  • Required to work every other weekend
About You

You are caring, reliable and proactive, with the ability to adapt to different needs and communicate well with others. You value collaboration, inclusion and person-centred support, and you’re happy working shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
