Job summary

Potens Group is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at our Telford service. You will provide 1-1 support, promote independence, and help adults in their own flats access the community.

Shifts are on weekends (8:00–16:00 or 14:00–22:00). Personal care is required, and safeguarding checks will be conducted as part of pre-employment procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support settings preferred.
• DBS checks and safeguarding awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 support to service users to promote independence and community involvement.
• Maintain high levels of support as required by the service.
• Assist with personal care as needed.
• Engage with service users to understand likes and goals.
• Working in a 13-unit adult-supported living service with self-contained flats.
• Weekend shifts: 8:00–16:00 or 14:00–22:00.

What you’ll be doing:

• You'll support on a 1-1 basis, promoting independence and encouraging the people we support to access the community.
• Working to maintain a high level of support that’s required for the service needs.
• Personal care will be required.
• Participate and be as enthusiastic about their likes and wants as they are.
• This is within an adult-supported living service of 13, and they all have their own self-contained flat.
• Shifts are on weekends only, 8.00 am - 4.00 pm or 2.00 pm- 10.00 pm

Who you are:

• Able to work independently, multitask, organise and prioritise work to suit the people we support.
• Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external.
• Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure
• Quick learner, hands-on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities
