Job summary

Langley Trust in Taunton invites a compassionate Support Worker to join a dedicated team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is 37.5 hours over 3 x 12.5-hour shifts, including some weekend work, with a salary of £25,592 per year.

You will provide keywork support, maintain client records, assist with personal care per care plans and contribute to a safe, respectful environment while collaborating in team meetings and service planning.

• Assess and manage risk and safety, liaising with stakeholders as needed.

This is a permanent, full‑time position working 37.5hours per week, where you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting our clients and contributing to our mission. This will be 3 x 12.5 hour shifts and will include some weekend work.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £25,592 per annum, recognising the value and impact of your work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide keywork support (including acting as Key Worker where required), maintaining accurate client records and using the Langley Client File to review progress and promote independence.
• Contribute to a safe, well-run service by following medication procedures, supporting participation and client meetings/involvement (including complaints), supporting prospective/former residents, maintaining safe/tidy environments, and participating in rotas and team meetings.
• Provide personal care as identified in care plans (including supporting with hygiene, dressing, continence care, mobility/moving and handling, and supporting access to health and social care professionals) and keep health-related records and care plans up to date.
• Assess and manage risk and challenging behaviour by using; planning, de-escalation, and knowledge of our clients. Maintain service security and situational/physical safety measures, liaising with relevant stakeholders as needed.
