Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Mild Learning Disabilities in their daily living activities. The role includes personal care, medication administration, and helping with meals and household tasks to promote independence and dignity.

The successful candidate will join a values-driven team, offering full and part-time hours, free uniform and PPE, and ongoing training toward recognised care

Qualifications

• Experience in supported living settings or with individuals with PMLD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with PMLD and Mild Learning Disabilities in daily living tasks.
• Assist with personal care, food preparation and household activities as needed.
• Support individuals to maintain contact with family and friends and access community activities.

Job description

As a Support Worker you will be supporting individuals with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and Mild Learning disabilities. The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting individuals to keep in contact with family and friends, accessing the community and attending appointments. We provide support for daily living skills and help support with socialisation. We recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is person centred and tailored to their needs. The role is to promote the individual's independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of support. We offer people with PMLD a safe and secure home where they can live independently with the support they need.
