Job summary

Radis Community Care is recruiting a part-time Support Worker to join the team at Ditchburn Place, Cambridge. The role involves mornings and late shifts, with alternative weekends, around 25+ hours weekly and coverage for sickness and annual leave. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

You will assist elderly residents with mobility, personal care, meals and social activities, promoting independence, dignity and respect at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience in elderly care preferred.
• Ability to assist with personal hygiene and dressing.
• Respectful and patient approach to residents.

Radis Community Care are looking for a Support worker to join the Radis Team at Ditchburn Place, Cambridge.

This will be a mix of morning and late shifts, alternative weekends. 25 + hours per week, plus sickness and annual leave cover.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested.

The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group.

The core aim of this role is to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect, consistently delivering care to the highest standard.
