Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our community team in Wem, Shropshire. You will provide care and support at clients’ homes, assisting with daily living, personal care, meal preparation and medication while maintaining privacy and dignity.

Full and part-time hours are available; drivers with their own transport are required. We offer structured training, paid mileage/expenses, and progression opportunities within a values-driven care company.

Qualifications

• Must be a driver with own transport (car, motorcycle, etc).
• Right to live and work in the UK; will verify immigration status.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to people in their own homes.
• Assist with daily living tasks, personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light meal preparation and domestic tasks, and medication administration.
• Respect privacy and dignity of service users; support adults including those with learning disability.

About the role

You will need to be a driver with your own transport (car, motorcycle, moped etc) - the work is not suited to non-drivers

As a Support Worker - Community you will provide care/support to the people we support living independently in their own homes, that is flexible and responsive to their needs. This can include assisting them with daily living tasks, personal care and hygiene, light meal preparation and domestic tasks and medication - this will mean you’ll understand the importance of privacy and dignity – so important to everyone. You will also work with Adult Learning Disability service users – and receive enhanced pay for these calls.

And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging!
