Job summary

Acuity Care Group in Southampton is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide 1:1 assistance to a nonverbal Polish gentleman living at home with his wife and children. You will learn his communication cues and deliver round‑the‑clock care as part of a small, dedicated team.

Full training will be provided, including enhanced DBS and Acuity Academy. The role offers flexible pay options, a friendly, supportive workplace, and opportunities to grow within a trusted home-care environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with non‑verbal communication or complex needs is helpful but not essential.
• Be kind, patient, caring, reliable, and confident in your role.
• Willing to learn his specific communication cues.
• Comfortable working within the family home.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a nonverbal gentleman at home.
• Work as part of a small, stable care team.
• Learn and respond to the client’s communication cues.
• Take part in full training and ongoing Acuity Academy activities.

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our dedicated team, providing 1:1 support to a vibrant yet nonverble polish who lives at home with his wife and Kids in Sholing.

He is now living with a brain injury after a srtoke and requiresround‑the‑clock care, delivered by a consistent and understanding team.He is non‑verbal, and his support workers will learn to recognise and respond to his unique communication cues. Full training will be provided.

This is a rewarding role supporting a gentalman who brings a lot of happiness, warmth, and personality to those around him.
