Job summary

The National Autistic Society is seeking caring and reliable Support Workers for Community Services Somerset. You will help people live their best lives by following support plans and daily routines, including personal care and activities they enjoy.

This full-time role requires flexibility to meet the needs of people supported and their families, with potential evening and weekend shifts. Driving licence (1+ year) preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential.
Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome.
Ability to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people.

Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts).

Our Community Services Somerset consists of 6 individualised houses supporting 13 people to live independently in the community.

This advert is for a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week.

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families and will include evening and weekend working.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) ispreferred.
