Job summary

The National Autistic Society’s NAS Community Services (North 2) is seeking Bank Support Workers to help adults with autism live their best lives by following individual support plans and daily routines. You’ll work flexibly, choosing shifts that fit with evenings and weekends, and receive comprehensive induction and autism-focused training. A driving licence is preferred.

About the Service
NAS Community Services (North 2) provides support for adults over the age of 18 years old with autistic spectrum conditions. We aim to support people to develop their skills and abilities and tolead fulfilling lives.
People live in their own homes and receive support to maintain their own tenancies.

About the Role
We are looking for caring and reliable Bank Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
• Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)

What We’re Looking For

• For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
• Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome

As you are a bank worker, you will be able topick and choosethe shifts that you work, and services have a mixture of hours that can include evenings and weekends.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) ispreferred

Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.
