Job summary

SIS Care in Runcorn is seeking dedicated Support Workers on a full time, permanent basis. You will earn a competitive hourly rate of £13.45 and enjoy benefits including a £50 sleep rate, a strong pension scheme and healthcare, and enhanced DBS paid for by SIS.

There is a £350 refer a friend bonus and opportunities for career development. As a Support Worker you will help individuals understand their needs, support their goals and provide compassionate care in a challenging but rewarding

Qualifications

• Level 2 health & social care qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Personable and enthusiastic about making a difference.
• Self-motivated, empathetic, dynamic and creative within care.
• Experience with mental health needs or challenging behaviours is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to understand their needs and help them achieve goals.
• Provide compassionate care and assistance in a 24/7 service with sleepover shifts.

The Support Worker role

Our teams provide outstanding care and support, working with individuals to understand their needs and help them to achieve their goals and ambitions. The role of a support worker is extremely rewarding, but can also be challenging at times, so patience and compassion are key.

About The Service

Southbank is a 100+ year old hotel converted into a mix of 7 self-contained flats & 7 en-suite rooms in the centre of the old town area of Runcorn. Southbank supports clients with complex mental health needs; it is staffed 24 hours a day and has a sleepover covering the nights. Whilst challenging, there is lots of opportunity for the successful candidate to help improve people’s lives and build an excellent team around the service.
