Leonard Cheshire is recruiting for night care workers to support disabled adults in a Cornish home on a 7.30pm–7.30am rota.
We offer full-time and part-time positions with comprehensive induction and training. You will be part of a team delivering person-centred care, helping residents live life their way and enjoy a supportive, home-like environment on the stunning Cornish coast.
“It’s like watching mini-miracles happen here every day.”
That’s how one of our team describes the difference they make. If you’re kind, compassionate, and ready to help others live life their way, we’d love to hear from you.
On the stunning Cornish coast, St Teresa’s provides personalised support for up to 27 disabled adults. Overlooking Mount’s Bay, our home is surrounded by beautiful views of Newlyn and Penzance. Shops, restaurants, cafes, a cinema and a theatre are all nearby. We’re also a short walk from the historic town of Marazion, with its clean and sandy beaches.
We offer both full-time and part-time hours, working 7.30pm - 7.30am on a rota basis.
You’ll need to be flexible to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota.
As well as supporting your wellbeing and career development, we offer a fantastic benefits package, including:
Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins.
No previous care experience? No problem – we’ll give you all the training you need.
Whether you’re experienced or brand new to care, our comprehensive induction and training will help you thrive.
For over 75 years, we’ve been supporting disabled people to live, learn, and work as independently as possible. We provide specialist support across residential care, supported living, and respite services for people with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, sensory impairments, and learning disabilities.
Our goal is simple: to create welcoming, safe, and empowering spaces that feel like home – giving people real choice and control over their lives.
Leonard Cheshire welcomes applications from all sections of the community. We actively encourage applications from people with disabilities and will support your requirements for reasonable adjustments wherever possible.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk. A satisfactory disclosure check (PVG membership in Scotland) is required for this post, and references will be obtained for all roles.
Visa sponsorship is not available at this time. Applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK at the time of application. We are unable to progress applications from candidates who require sponsorship or are awaiting a visa decision.
