Job description

About Dimensions

At Dimensions, you'll find more than a job - You'll find purpose, belonging, and the support to thrive. Your voice matters, your wellbeing is prioritised, and your growth is celebrated. Together, we make a real difference - for the people we support and for you.Proudly recognised as one of the UK's Top 25 Best Workplaces for Wellbeing (Great Place to Work, Super Large Organisations), reflecting our commitment to flexible working, wellbeing support, career development, and an inclusive workplace culture.

About the role
  • Support Worker
  • Full time – 37.5 hours per week
  • £13.45 per hour
  • Norton Subcourse, NR14
  • Full UK manual driving licence and own car essential.

We are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team supporting two gentlemen in their home. The gentlemen we support enjoy leading active and fulfilling lives and love spending time out in their local community. Whether it's swimming, visiting the zoo, going for countryside walks, spending time with family, enjoying picnics or relaxing in the hot tub at home, you'll play an important role in supporting them to do the things they enjoy and achieve the outcomes that matter to them.

You'll provide personalised support that promotes choice, independence and wellbeing. This is a hands on role where you'll support with personal care, medication, preparing meals and daily living tasks, while encouraging the people we support to develop skills and maintain as much independence as possible. One of the gentlemen uses a wheelchair full-time, so you'll need to be comfortable supporting him to access the community, including pushing a wheelchair for longer distances.

Meal preparation is an important part of this role. The people we support receive weekly HelloFresh deliveries, so you'll need to be confident preparing home cooked meals using fresh ingredients and supporting them to maintain healthy lifestyles.

This homeincludes both shared and lone working, so you'll need to be able to work confidently on your own as well as part of a supportive team. This home operates a two-week rolling rota, with shifts typically running from 9:00am to 10:00pm, including 1-2 sleep-ins per week and alternate weekends.

About You

You do not need previous care experience to be successful with Dimensions; however, you do need the right values, a positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a full UK manual driving licence.
  • Has access to their own vehicle for travelling to work.
  • Is happy to drive the vehicles belonging to the people we support (manual and automatic).
  • Are confident cooking meals from scratch using fresh ingredients.
  • Is comfortable providing full personal care and medication support.
  • Can work independently during lone-working shifts.
  • Enjoys being active and supporting people in the community.
  • Has excellent communication skills and a patient, person-centred approach.

Most importantly, you will be someone who shares our values and is passionate about supporting people to independent lives. The role requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn, and we will provide all the training and support you need to succeed.

  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs.
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays – pro rata).

  • High Street Discounts – Retail and Entertainment (supermarkets, hospitality, pubs, cinema etc.)
  • Life Assurance and Company Pension.
  • Industry leading training.
  • Enhanced DBS paid for by us.
