We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our supported living home in Woodhall Spa. You'll be supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people to have choice and control over their own lives, achieve personal goals, develop skills, and take part in the things that are important to them.
The people we support are active members of their local community and enjoy a variety of interests and experiences. Some enjoy walking, bowling, shopping, listening to music, taking holidays, spending time with family and friends, getting creative with arts and crafts, or preparing meals and baking. You'll work alongside people to ensure they can continue to enjoy the things they love, build new relationships, develop confidence, and explore new opportunities.
Using our award-winning Activate model of support, you'll recognise and celebrate what people can do for themselves while providing the right support to help them learn new skills, increase their independence, and live the life they choose.
As part of the role, you'll support people with a range of day-to-day tasks including shopping, preparing meals, managing their home, attending appointments, administering medication, managing finances, and maintaining their health and wellbeing. You may also provide support with personal care, always promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
You'll be part of a dedicated team that works in partnership with the people we support, their families, colleagues, and other professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
Shifts are worked on a two-week rolling rota and include early, late, mid, and long-day shifts, as well as sleep‑ins. Flexibility is important, as the role includes alternate weekends and bank holidays to ensure the people we support can continue to live the lives they choose.
Above all, we are looking for someone who shares our values. You will be kind, patient and reliable, with a genuine passion for supporting people to live great lives.
You do not need previous experience in social care because we will provide all the training and support you need to succeed. What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to treating people with dignity, respect, and compassion.
We are looking for someone who is honest, dependable, and able to build positive relationships with the people we support, their families, colleagues, and professionals. You will enjoy working as part of a team, be comfortable using basic IT systems, and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we support.
