This includes supporting with personal care, medication, meal planning and preparation, household tasks, health appointments and daily routines. You'll encourage the people we support to develop skills around the home and make choices about how they want to live their lives.

This is a highly varied role where you could be supporting someone to attend a day service, accompanying them on shopping trips, days out, holidays, cinema visits, concerts or pantomimes, or simply enjoying a chat about their favourite TV programmes. The ladies enjoy living life to the fullest and are always keen to try new experiences.

You'll work as part of a supportive team, although there will be opportunities for lone working during some 1:1 support hours. One of the ladies uses a wheelchair when out in the community, and full training will be provided to ensure you can provide safe and confident support., Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. In this context, "gender" refers to the sex legally assigned to an individual.
